i would like to point out that i think water will be a big factor and issue in israel’s future. and maybe, i’ll venture, the world. water is essential, and in a place like the middle east, it’s precious scarce. when i drink my bottle of water i consider it a ‘natural right’- something i deserve.
i may deserve it, but that doesn’t mean i get it. look at all the millions of afghans or south americans that don’t even have access to clean drinking water. look at the palestinians who have such a limited amount every day.
and water is a danger factor. without it, we can’t farm. without it, factories can’t run. without it, we can’t stay clean. without it, we die.
israel took the golan heights from syria for a number of reasons… one of the reasons being- there is an aquifer that would provide one third of israel’s total water supply. water becomes political.
and they told me gold and oil were the most precious valuables in today’s world…
