talking to God is probably the best thing that could ever happen to me. reading this early this morning… so we’re supposed to pray without stopping, right? that’s a lot of talking, in up times and down times— so my attitude/ emotions are going to be all over the board.
but when peter’s telling me his thoughts on how we should pray… and he relates it to the time at hand. since, he says, the end of times is at hand…
…be serious.
…be watchful.
so prayer isn’t necessarily always based on my feelings. talking to God shouldn’t only be based on my emotions or my mood or how i feel “comfortable” at present in talking to Him…
i guess i need to sober up a bit and be more diligent and watchful, as the king james version interprets the greek…. because the end of times is at hand. that’s something God wants from me at this time, according to peter. emotions, have your place. seriousness and diligence, watchfulness and insight: take your lead.
